Mike Gallo has been actively training in Martial Arts for over 40 years. He currently holds the rank of GODAN, (Godan 5th Degree Blackbelt) in Aikido issued by Aiki Hombu Dojo, Tokyo, Japan, where he has visited numerous times to train with O'Sensei's son. His training in other arts include: Shotokan, Aiki Jujitsu and Kenpo. 

   Gallo Sensei believes Aikido, being a Martial Art, should be presented and practiced as such. Therefore, although there is a strong bond to tradition, it is practiced as a Martial Art at Kanshinkan Dojo.
